Kidney Stones – Diagnosis & Treatments

Cystoscopy

A cystoscopy is a medical procedure used for removing large kidney stones in your lower urinary tract. This area includes the urethra and bladder where urine comes out of the body. During this process, a special device will be inserted into the urinary tract to find out and remove these mineral masses. Similar to a ureteroscopy, a cystoscopy is often done with general anesthesia. This means that you will be asleep during the operation. After the first day, you would have a burning sensation when urinating with a small amount of blood in the urine. [8]
