Which Medications Are Not Covered By Medicare Part D?

In general, most OTC drugs are not covered by Medicare Part D. These include weight loss drugs, cosmetic drugs, supplements, vitamins, and etc. The following prescription drugs are not covered by this part either:

– Erectile dysfunction drugs.

– Cough or cold drugs for the relief of symptoms when these problems are not a part of a diagnosis.

– Drugs prescribed only for hair growth or cosmetic purposes.

– Drugs prescribed for treating anorexia, weight gain, or weight loss when these problems are not part of a diagnosis.

– Fertility medications. [4]
