1What Is HPV?

HPV stands for human papillomavirus, which is a group of viruses that affects the skin. There are up to 100 different viruses in this group. In most cases, they do not lead to any problems, but some virus strains may cause cancer or genital warts. Certain forms of cancer associated with HPV include vaginal cancer, vulva cancer, penis cancer, anal cancer, as well as cervical cancer. These viruses can spread from person to person through skin-to-skin or sexual contact. Indeed, it is known as the most common sexually transmitted infection. [1]
