Bursitis is a condition that inflames the bursae, which are tiny sacs filled with fluids in the shoulder. Since these areas work as a cushion to alleviate friction between bones, tendons, and muscles, inflammation may lead to many mobile issues. Bones and muscles cannot rub together properly, which restricts movements and causes irritation. As the name suggests, shoulder bursitis or subacromial bursitis results in inflamed shoulders.
