Alcohol
Alcohol also causes gout. People who take in excess alcohol are prone to a gout attack. Alcohol also produces uric acid in the body. Uric acid usually is passed through the kidneys and expelled through the bladder. But sometimes, uric acid builds up in parts of the body when kidneys do not function, or there is too much uric acid in the body. The uric acids crystals are jostled, and tissues are damaged resulting in inflammation and pain. If you must drink alcohol, then limit it to not more than one alcoholic drink for women and two for men, per day. [5]
