Dairy Products
Dairy products would worsen your rheumatoid arthritis pain because of the form of protein called casein. Many people cannot digest this substance. As such, it would irritate the tissue located around the joints and cause inflammatory activities. To check whether your body is affected by this protein, try to eliminate dairy products for several weeks and reintroduce them to check the responses. Be careful with some baked goods like bread, crackers, cake, and cookies as they are often added with milk as an ingredient. Instead, you can go for plant-based sources, such as quinoa, lentils, beans, tofu, nut butter, and spinach. [7]
