Peppermint Tea
Studies have revealed the soothing effect of peppermint tea on pains, especially cramps. Ordinarily, peppermint tea is a muscle relaxant (uterine muscles in this case). It is an incredible herbal tea potent for improving symptoms related to menstruation, especially dysmenorrhea (menstrual pain or cramps). This is believed to be due to the presence of menthol in peppermint. Menthol is agreed to have an antispasmodic effect, and is chiefly useful to easing menstrual cramps, which results from muscle spasms or contractions in the uterine wall. Peppermint tea, for effect, is recommended hot (not piping hot, though). To prepare it, boil some fresh leaves of peppermint or drop teabags of the dried peppermint leaves in a cup of boiled water. Let it infuse, then go ahead and drink. [5]
