1What Is Inflammatory Breast Cancer?

Inflammatory breast cancer is an aggressive type of breast cancer. This condition is rare and only affects around 1 to 5 percent of reported breast cancer cases. It happens when cancer cells restrict the lymph vessels in the breast’s skin. Diagnosing inflammatory breast cancer can be challenging because it does not cause a tumor that would display on screening tests. Due to its aggressive nature, the disease would spread and grow very quickly. Therefore, it is very important to get an early diagnosis and treatment to improve the outlook. [1]
