Focused ultrasound surgery or FUS is a non-invasive method to shrink the fibroids. It does not require any incision, thus reducing the risks of bleeding. Firstly, the doctor needs to apply sound waves to find, heat, and destroy the masses when you are inside the MRI scanner. However, this is quite a new procedure that is not widely available.
