Euphoria | Manic
This manic episode often seems like a good and healthy experience. A patient in a state of euphoria may feel a sense of achievement and an increased level of happiness. However, healthy that sounds, it’s marred with some negativities.
A patient with bipolar with this manic symptom feels an excess and permanent energy, which make it hard for them to know the limit of their abilities. They mostly overestimate what they can do and possibility, as they engage in goal-oriented projects.
Also, Euphoria can result in increased sexual drive and poor judgment, which may be the underlying cause of their dangerous behaviors. That’s not the worst part: they don’t realize their instability and the danger associated with this state of excessive energy. [2]
