What Is Social Communication Disorder?
A social communication disorder is a mental condition that leads to problems with social communication, language, and understanding social standards. Many symptoms may resemble those of autism, but they are two different conditions. Those with this disorder may understand language, but they would not respond to it properly. It typically begins early in their childhood. Caregivers or parents would notice little interest in the affected children in interacting with others. In some cases, they would also exhibit several early signs of autism. [1]
