A CT or computerized tomography scan combines computer technology and X-ray to generate a 3D image of your urinary tract. The main goal is to find out the presence of any obstruction which would cause the infection in your kidneys. During the procedure, a special dye might be injected to highlight the examined areas. You will be asked to lie on a machine while the technician takes a picture. This is a recommended method when you don’t respond to any treatments in 3 days. [3]
