Yin Yoga Poses to Calm and Restore

Supported Fish Pose

This is a gentle yoga post to improve the flexibility in the hip flexors, core, and back. The support fish pose can also stimulate your throat chakra, which is associated with compassion, emotions, love, and communication. Therefore, practicing this pose can bring you a sense of happiness and help reduce depression or sadness. Start with sitting while extending both legs in front of the body. Form an inclined support with blocks and cushions from the base of the spine. Slightly lean back and rest on the support before tilting the head back to keep the neck in a neutral position. Stay in the position for 5 minutes. [2]
