What Is the Carnivore Diet

How to Start the Carnivore Diet

The first step to follow the carnivore diet is to remove all plant-based foods, such as veggies, fruits, seeds, nuts, legumes, and similar products. Instead, you should only consume beef, pork, chicken, turkey, lamb, organ meats, fish, eggs, hard cheese, heavy cream, and other low-lactose dairy products. Bone marrow, lard, and butter can be allowed as well. To meet the daily calorie needs, many proponents suggest the consumption of fatty cuts of meat. As for beverages, bone broth and water are encouraged, while coffee, team, and plant-based drinks should be excluded. There are no specific guidelines on the number of snacks or meals per day, serving portions, or calorie intake. [3]
