B Vitamins in Turkey

Turkey meat is rich in many B vitamins, such as vitamin B12, vitamin B6, and vitamin B3. Two thick slices provide around 30 percent, 49 percent, and 60 percent of the daily recommended intake for vitamin B12, B6, and B3, respectively. This can provide some health benefits:

– Vitamin B12: Important for the production of red blood cells and DNA synthesis.

– Vitamin B6: Necessary for the production of neurotransmitters and the formation of amino acids.

– Vitamin B3: Needed for cell communication and energy production.

Turkey is also a good source of vitamin B2, vitamin B1, and folate. [3]
