STD Tests
Many sexually transmitted diseases or STDs would be diagnosed with a blood sample. Those tests are often combined with some infected tissue swabs or urine samples to ensure more precise diagnoses. Some common STDs that would be found out with blood tests include syphilis, HIV, herpes, gonorrhea, and chlamydia. However, blood tests are not always precise right after taking the infection. For instance, people with an HIV infection might have to wait around 1 month to determine the virus. [6]
