Some clinical studies have suggested that alkaline water and an alkaline diet might aid in treating cancer. Once consumed, alkalis might improve the effectiveness of some chemotherapy medications used for cancer patients. This effect can be found in many cases of cancer occurring in the urinary bladder or digestive system. However, the exact mechanism is still unknown. Further research is still needed to find out more associations between alkaline water and cancer. [4]
