Overview of Eucalyptus Plants
Eucalyptus is a plant native to Australia. Traditional medicine in many European countries, India, and China have long used this tree for treating different health conditions. While there are hundreds of eucalyptus species available, only a few of them are used for producing oil. The oil extracted from the eucalyptus leaves has many applications, such as industrial solvents, dental preparations, flavorings, cosmetics, perfume, and antiseptics. In addition, it contains tannins, flavonoids, and many other beneficial plant compounds that can provide many health benefits. [1]
