Rich in Fiber

A medium avocado contains around 10 grams of carbohydrates, 70 percent of those are fiber. This makes avocadoes a great plant food for a low-carb and high-fiber diet. Studies have shown great effects of fiber on lowered blood sugar levels, weight loss, as well as reduced risk of some illnesses. You need to differentiate between insoluble and soluble fiber. The latter is important for body function as it can feed the friendly bacteria in the gut and intestine. Around 75 percent of the fiber in avocado is insoluble, while 25 percent of that is soluble.
