Possible Effects about Sleep Deprivation

Sleep deprivation is a condition in which you do not get a sufficient amount of sleep each night. This would make you feel less alert and sleepier during the daytime than usual. If the condition lasts long enough, it might lead to many other serious issues. This is because sleeping is a way the body recovers after long hours of operating. Below are 10 possible effects that you might have with sleep deprivation.

1Accidents

Sleep deprivation at night would lead to drowsiness during the day. This eventually increases the risk of making mistakes and causing accidents or injuries when working or driving. In fact, it is one of the decisive factors in many serious disasters in the past, such as the Chernobyl meltdown or massive oil spill at Exxon Valdez. On the road, feeling drowsy would have the same effects as driving drunk as it would slow your reaction time.
