ADHD stands for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. It is a very common condition that mostly affects children and adolescents. Typical symptoms include problems with school performance, behaviour, and difficulty concentrating. However, ADHD is not the only illness that causes these issues. Below are some conditions that are often misdiagnosed with ADHD that you should know.
Sleep Issues
If children do not sleep enough or their sleep has poor quality, it may lead to behaviour and learning issues. These problems may be similar to symptoms of ADHD. Any kid who snores frequently should be informed to the doctor, particularly when there are pauses in choking noises or breathing during sleep. Parents should make sure that their kids get at least 8 hours of sleep each night and do not stay up late playing games or doing homework. [1]
