Alcoholism

Drinking too much alcohol would lead to bone loss and increase the risk of broken bones. However, a low level of alcohol might be actually beneficial. Studies have shown that having 1 portion per day for women and 2 portions per day for men is associated with better bone density. When you consume wine or beer excessively, there are certain health issues. These include worsened bone cell activities, low bone density, and metabolism problems. Thus, it is better to limit your alcohol consumption to reduce the risk.[7]
