Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Stages: What to Expect

Early Symptoms of Multiple Sclerosis

The symptoms of multiple sclerosis can vary from individual to individual. However, some signs typically happen in the early stages of the condition. Optic neuritis is one of those. It causes inflammation in one of the optic nerves and leads to painful eye movement or blurry vision. Other early signs of multiple sclerosis may include muscle weakness, bladder issues, tiredness, headache, vision problems, balance issues, vertigo, and sensory disturbances.[2]
