Stage 0
Stage 0 or smoldering stage is the earliest stage of multiple myeloma. It does not cause any obvious symptoms. Even though cancerous cells have already presented in the body, they do not progress or cause any damages to kidneys or bones. The condition might also be undetectable in a blood test or urine test. This stage often lasts several months before cancer develops and trigger typical signs. Close monitoring is necessary to diagnose the condition early. [3]
