Multiple Myeloma – Stages and Prognosis

Stage 1

When multiple myeloma turns from stage 0 to stage 1, a small number of cancerous cells can be detected in the urine or blood. Also, the disease would increase the levels of hemoglobin a little bit. X-ray results might look normal or have several minor effects. Some other levels, such as LDH, B2M, and albumin are still normal or just higher/lower than usual. Multiple myeloma can be most treatable during Stage 1, but the symptoms are quite subtle, making it difficult to diagnose early. Therefore, it is important to know the most typical symptoms and notice them. [4]
