Multiple Myeloma – Stages and Prognosis

Stage 2

Stage 2 is an intermediate period of multiple myeloma when the condition progresses. People at this period often have a moderate number of cancerous cells in some parts of the body. The levels of hemoglobin are often much lower, while the levels of albumin are also low than usual. Monoclonal immunoglobulin would be raised, and blood calcium amount might be increased. Some bone damages can be seen in X-rays. With proper treatments, people at this stage can live in more than 7 to 8 years. [5]
