Heart Electrical Issues
The heart works by generating and transmitting electrical impulses. One chamber will send these signals to another to tell when and how to squeeze blood. The pacemaker plays a key role in regulating this system. When the heart cannot send the right electrical impulses, probably due to heart disease or blockage, bradycardia can happen. A complete heart block is a kind of electrical problem that prevents these signals from running to the ventricles from the atria. In these cases, the top two chambers of the heart might have completely different rhythms compared to those in the bottom two. [5]
