Tachycardia – Symptoms & Causes

Tachycardia is a form of arrhythmia, also known as rhythm disorder. People with this condition tend to have faster heart beats than others. While it is usual to have your heart rate rising due to illness, trauma, stress, or exercises, tachycardia causes these symptoms even when you are resting or sleeping. This indicates some problems with the cardiovascular system, which affect the electrical signals. If left untreated, the condition would lead to many complications like strokes, heart failure, or even death. That is why you need to pay attention to the following symptoms and causes of tachycardia.

15 Symptoms of Tachycardia

Fast Heart Rate

Tachycardia is characterized by an irregular or fast heart rhythm. While normal people tend to have less than 100 beats in each minute, patients with this condition might have as many as 300 beats in each minute. At these rates, their heart would be not able to efficiently deliver oxygen and nutrient-rich blood to other parts of the body. More importantly, it can make your cardiovascular system work much harder, which increases the risk of heart failure and many other heart diseases. Since this is a very noticeable sign, make sure to consult your doctor as soon as possible to prevent further complications. [1]
