Bradycardia – Types, Symptoms, Causes, Treatments

Heart Block

Heart block is another form of bradycardia. Unlike sinus bradycardia that does not often cause noticeable symptoms, this type is always an abnormal condition. In general, heart block happens when electrical impulses produced by the heart are completely or partially blocked when they run between the ventricles and heart’s atria. Since not all of these signals can reach your ventricles, the heart will beat slower. Like abnormal sinus bradycardia, a heart block could be either persistent or transient. [2]
