Developmental Origin
Another theory suggests a link between adenomyosis and developmental origin. It indicates that the condition tends to occur within the muscles of the uterine from deposited endometrial tissue. This process happens when the uterus first developed in the fetus. It would be related to hormonal levels and other components. However, scientists are still not clear about the underlying mechanism and associated matters. Further research is still needed to confirm this association. [5]
