Invasive Tissue Growth
Several scientists think that adenomyosis can be a result when the endometrial cells directly invade the muscles that generate the uterine walls. This would be caused by many reasons, such as hormonal changes or some genetic disorders. The exact cause is still unknown. Some uterine incisions performed during surgical operations like a C-section or cesarean section would facilitate the direct invasion of these endometrial cells into the uterus’s wall as well.
