Psoriasis
Psoriasis is an autoimmune disorder caused by the sun, skin injury, infection, medication, or stress. When you are affected, the immune system would attack your own skin cells and causes inflammation and excessive production of cells, thus forming rashes. Chronic psoriasis is quite similar to ringworm with a thick rash on the front of your knees, scalp, and elbows. Also, there might be silvery plaques on an inflamed skin base with distinct borders. Your doctor might diagnose psoriasis through the appearance or a skin biopsy. Treatment options can vary, depending on the severity of the condition. These include UV light therapy, immune suppressants, or topical creams. [11]
