Grain-Fed Meat
Since pigs, chicken, and cattle don’t evolve on grain-fed diets, many farmers tend to load up their animals with antibiotic products. These substances might make animals gain weight much quicker, thus leading to an increased intake of inflammatory saturated fats in humans. Also, omega-6s fatty acids from soy and corn in the diet of these animals would lead to some inflammatory effects in the long run. To minimize the risks, it is better to choose lean cuts of meat. This will provide more inflammation-fighting omega-3s and healthier trans and saturated fats. [5]
