Acute angle-closure glaucoma is usually a medical emergency that requires immediate treatments. Otherwise, blindness would occur in a few days or weeks. Typical signs of this form include serious eye pain, red eyes, halos around lights, blurry vision, unexpected onset of visual disturbances, as well as nausea and vomiting followed eye pain.
