What Is Lucentis?

Lucentis is a brand-name drug that contains the active ingredient ranibizumab. It belongs to a class of medications called anti-VEGFs (vascular endothelial growth factor inhibitors). Doctors typically prescribe Luxentis to treat some eye conditions. It is available in the form of a liquid solution in a vial or a prefilled syringe. They both come with a dosage of 0.3 milligram or 0.5 milligrams in 0.05 milliliters of solution. Lucentis can be injected into your eyes directly at the doctor’s office every 1 to 3 months. [1]
