In many cases, vertigo may indicate an underlying condition. Some forms could happen one, while others may recur until you get the proper treatment for the disease. Below are some common remedies for vertigo that you can try.

1Semont-Toupet Maneuver and Epley Maneuver

The Semont-Toupet maneuver is a simple set of movements. You can easily do it at home to relieve symptoms of vertigo. Firstly, you need to sit upright on the ground. Outstretch both legs and put a pillow behind the body. Lie down, look to the right side while turning to the left. Look upward. Next, sit up quickly and turn to the right side while keeping the head facing to the right. Lastly, gradually return to the initial position by sitting up and looking forward. [1]

One of the most popular remedies to treat vertigo for many people is the Epley maneuver. This is a simple procedure that can be done at home. The first step is to sit upright on the floor with both legs outstretched and a pillow behind. Turn the head 45 degrees to the left. Quickly recline with the head on the pillow. Remain in this position for 30 seconds. Next, slowly turn the head to the right 90 degrees. Avoid lifting the neck. Make sure the entire body is engaged by turning it to the right. Back to the initial position. [2]
