Limited Interests
Children or adults with Asperger syndrome tend to passionately focus on particular areas of interest and don’t enjoy talking about other topics. For instance, some might be obsessed with astronomy, stamps, while others love flowers or classical music. In some cases, these obsessive interests might wane over time, but most of them remain throughout the lifetime. Thanks to their in-depth knowledge, they often acquire graduate degrees in advanced fields such as mathematics, engineering, or computer science. Unfortunately, many patients simply don’t understand or aren’t interested in what they’re discussing. [7]
