When you get a false positive result for hepatitis C, you would be not sure whether it is reliable. In these cases, make sure to consult your doctor or healthcare provider to get a second test, normally an RNA PCR test, to verify the presence of an infection. If the result for the second test is negative, then you do not currently have hepatitis C. It means you do not need to take any further steps. But when you got a positive result for the PCR test, it is highly likely that you have an infection. Discuss with your doctor to have a proper treatment plan.
