Types of Saunas

Saunas are normally heated rooms, but while the heat is dry in some cases, it is steamy in others. But in general, they all serve the same purpose — making you sweat and lose body water. Saunas are classified by the nature of the heating media too. Hence, we have electrically heated saunas, infrared saunas, wood-burning stove saunas, and steam rooms. You should be able to guess the way each of these sauna types functions, possibly by what their names suggest. The temperature within a sauna is usually regulated between 60 and 90 degrees Celsius. For the electrically heated saunas and the wood-burning types, humidity inside the facility is usually kept very low. [2]
