Processed Foods
Most processed foods, from ready-to-eat products to super-market-shelf snacks tend to contain many inflammatory substances. They are often packed with saturated fats, refined flours, sugar, salt, and many other preservatives. The combination of these components would trigger inflammation in people with rheumatoid arthritis and worsen the symptoms. The same is true for fried foods and fast foods. Consuming these foods too often would also contribute to diabetes and obesity, which are closely associated with rheumatoid arthritis. Thus, make sure to limit your consumption of these foods and replace them with healthier options, such as fruits and veggies. [12]
