Common Facts about Vitamin B10

Vitamin B10 and Sun Protection

Vitamin B10 would absorb UV or ultraviolet rays, particularly UVB rays. These elements are typically linked to DNA damage and sunburns. Therefore, it is a key ingredient in many sunscreen products. However, some people might develop allergic reactions after applying it to their skin. Since 2019, the US Food and Drug Administration no longer recognized vitamin B10 as an effective and safe option for sunscreen. Sometimes, you can find it in combination with aloe vera in several lotions marketed as moisturizers. It is rarely added to lipsticks, conditioners, and shampoos.[2]
