Apply ice
If you have mild leg pain with inflammation, then applying ice can be a good idea to alleviate the condition. Just place something cold to the painful areas for around 15 or 20 minutes, from 3 to 5 times each day in a couple of days. Ice can help to shrink blood vessels on the surface and prevent swelling. Ideally, you should use ice cubes or crushed ice, but frozen veggies bags or gel packs might also work well. Make sure to wrap it in a cloth to avoid frostbites on the skin. [5]
