Sugary drinks
Drinking sugary drinks also causes gout and worsen some of its symptoms. This is often more common in those adults who are obese or overweight. These beverages such as fruit juices can flood the body with a sugar called fructose. Many studies have shown that this is associated with higher levels of uric acid building up in the body. Therefore, it is better to limit or avoid some sugary drinks like soda, orange juice, sugary-flavored beverages, energy drinks, concentrated fruit juices, freshly squeezed juices, sweetened lemonade or ice tea.
