Dehydration
When you are dehydrated, the body does not have a sufficient amount of water. As a result, your kidney cannot get rid of redundant uric acids as efficiently as they often do, thus increasing the risks of some gout symptoms. This is also the main reason why alcohol isn’t good for those people with gout because it is typically dehydrating. Ideally, it is advisable to drink at least 2 liters of water per day to ensure normal operation and flush out excess uric acid. [7]
