What is Vascular Dementia

Symptoms of Vascular Dementia

Vascular dementia is characterized by multiple cognitive issues, including executive functioning problems, agnosia, apraxia, aphasia, and memory impairment. In most cases, people with this condition often have trouble maintaining social relationships, carrying out household tasks, or hold a job position. Neurological signs can also occur like balance issues, walking problems, exaggerated reflexes, and weakness in the feet, hands, and limbs. Depending on the cause and individual, depression, urinary issues, agitation, confusion, delusion, and dementia could follow vascular dementia as well. [2]
