Diagnosis
People with knee pain should get a diagnosis for a tibial plateau fracture. The doctor might need to perform a comprehensive physical exam to look for typical symptoms mentioned above. Based on the initial results, radiographs can provide more detailed views of the intercondylar, lateral, and anterior-posterior. Other imaging techniques like an MRI or CT can also be used to help find out the underlying causes and assess the level of intensity. They are also more effective in surgical planning. CT scans are often quicker and simpler to do in an acute case. Nevertheless, an MRI would identify the ligamentous and meniscal injury. [6]
