Bone Tumors
When body cells grow uncontrollably, they would lead to the forming of a tissue lump or mass. This is often called a tumor. When it occurs in the spine, you can be at a higher risk of spinal stenosis. Bone tissue can be malignant or benign. When this mass grows, it would displace healthy tissues. Even when the tumor is non-cancerous, a quick growth would subsequently compress other bone tissues and compress your spinal cord. The exact triggers of bone tumors are still unclear. Some possible risk factors include previous bone injuries, radiation treatments, or genetics. [4]
