Psoriasis
Psoriasis is an autoimmune disorder that causes the immune system to mistakenly attack healthy cells in the body. It would lead to scaly and itchy red areas on the skin. Commonly affected parts include the scalp, torso, elbows, knees, and feet. In people with psoriasis, the overactive immune system speeds up the growth of skin cells. As a result, skin cells develop and shed more quickly, leading to the accumulation of dead cells on the skin surface. Pustular psoriasis is a rare type of psoriasis that may cause yellow or white blisters on the feet. The main treatment options for psoriasis include oral retinoid therapy, calcineurin inhibitors, topical steroids, or phototherapy. [8]
