Trichomoniasis an infectious condition caused by a parasite called Trichomonas vaginalis, which may be transmitted through sexual activities. In men, it may affect the urethra. In women, it would affect the urethra, vagina, or even both. Most people with this condition do not show any symptoms. Around 30 percent of cases may experience unusual discharge, bleeding, pain, burning, or itching. Trichomoniasis is currently the most common non-viral sexually transmitted infection in the world. Most cases of trichomoniasis do not show any symptoms. In around 30 percet of reported cases, the following signs may occur:

– Discomfort or pain during sexual intercourse

– Swelling around the penis or vagina

– Blood in the vaginal discharge

– Discharge from urethra

– Foul-smelling vaginal discharge, which may be green or yellow

– Irritation and itching around the penis or vagina

– More frequent urination
