3 Levels of Autism
Level 1: Needing Support
People with level 1 of autism are able to communicate in full sentences. But following are some communication issues that a person with Level 1 ASD may face include:
– Reduced interests in social interactions
– Unsuccessful or atypical response to social interaction
– Trouble starting social interactions
– Difficulty having a conversion with other people
– Trouble making friends
This level is also characterized by repetitive behaviors, such as:
– Trouble switching between tasks and activities
– Inflexible behaviors that disrupt general functioning
– Problems with planning and organization [6]
